New battery in the iPhone 4S

Not a big deal, I'm happy with the phone, didn't see spending $200-$300 for a new one with, or without a Verizon upgrade. $13.00 for the new battery and the special star shaped screwdriver. They said it was a 10 minute change over. Yeah, if you can actually see the two really, really tiny screws holding down the battery connection, they took me another 20 minutes to get them in. Anyway, got it done. The old battery was lasting 5-6 hours, the new one is on 6 hours and still has 89% of battery life.

Yeah, I know, I'm cheap, and don't have a real life. But I at least entertain myself cheaply.

A few years ago, I replaced the screen, on-off switch and earphone plugs in mine and my daughter's classic iPods for something like $25 each total, yeah those little screws are a pain. Jeweler's lenses are helpful, but are not much of a help with old fingers.

Amazon, many suppliers. If you have a 4S, check the two bottom screws to see if they are a philips or star pattern. I order the battery with a kit that contained the right screw drivers. Make sure the battery is for a 4 or 4S, there is a difference. Look at a couple of youtube videos on the subject. If its a 4S, pay particular attention to a tiny antenna shield under the top battery connector screw, its easily for it to fly off and you'll never find it.
