Man, is it really that bad out this time of year in that area?
|
It can be pretty bad at night. In the 50's, high humidity and rain on and off today. You can get pretty cold and uncomfortable under those conditions. Lots of black flies and mosquitoes as well.
I spent time at Camp Drum (Watertown NY) years ago and in August the days were quite warm but the nights in the field were just freaking miserable. These guys are in terrain and foliage that is unbelievably dense, difficult to see someone within three feet of a person. I have done some search and rescue in the Adirondacks and I couldn't believe how hard it was to navigate on foot. They don't call it "forever wild" for nothing. I am not exaggerating. This is not camping more like bushwacking with 800 cops breathing down your neck. |
those two guys are in real trouble now....... dog the bounty hunter is after them with his tv crew.
Celebrity Bounty Hunter Involved In Search For Escaped Prisoners |
I bet that prison food would taste pretty good about now too.
It's not like these guys are trained Army Rangers that can live off the land. |
The weird part-
1,- The cabin they were at is rented /owned by people from the same prison.... , -The guy who saw the someone run saw just one guy. 3,- why would a fugitive leave his underwear and sock behind ? 4,- is this a smoke screen to have the cops look elsewhere ? |

Hope they make it dwn to NYC where the most educated and lofty live that run the rest of NYS .
They are so self righteous and know what is best for everyone. They promote all the anti gun laws..against what the rest of us ask for, hope they all sleep well if these two get there.......LOL |

Hopefully they're dead from exposure by now. How much are these punks costing the taxpayers? It'd be insulting if they were captured alive only to be brought back, given expensive medical treatments and three hots and a cot again (more money out the door wasted on caring for murderous thugs who are of no value to society whatsoever).
I agree with the above too. I wouldn't want to be a disarmed, enfeebled victim-in-waiting in that area. One nice thing about this state is it still has relatively sane gun laws - you can actually own, carry and use them, unlike our neighbor state to the south which makes it all but impossible. One of the few upsides of living here... The insane, crazy liberal stupidity hasn't completely taken over yet but unfortunately more and more of it seems to leech its way in with each passing year - another reason I'm glad to be leaving soon. |
Coming to a close.
Breaking News, U.S., World, Weather, Entertainment & Video News - CNN.com http://www.cnn.com/2015/06/26/us/new-york-prison-break/index.html Hope they get one alive so the facts can come out. |
Lots of good folks with spoons in upstate NY!

It's 50 degrees here and heavy rain all night. This guy has to be begging to be back in Dannemora.
Of course Cuomo has probably put a "kill on sight" order out for him just to make certain all the secrets of the corrupt prison don't get out to the public. |

The first camp reported to have been broken into, and in which DNA from the escapees was found, was owned and used by prison employees, none of which could definitively tell if weapons were missing or not because it was shared by several hunters. It is from this break-in that the police assumed the men were "armed and dangerous." Additionally, evidence found included a bloody sock, opened peanut butter jar, and a witness who saw someone running from the camp. So food and shelter was available. (" I saw someone run out of the back. A jug of water, an opened peanut butter jar, boots, toiletries and bloody socks were discovered at the camp, the Plattsburgh Press-Republican reported. Police identified the DNA on the items as belonging to the men.") Another break-in was reported in the area close to where Matt was killed. "The search for the men intensified in the area after Bob Willett, a cabin owner, called authorities after noticing items missing and out of place. A bottle of rum, two pairs of boots and binoculars were among the missing items, and Willett also noticed a bottle of gin had been spilled, he told ABC News." Escaped Inmate Richard Matt Appeared to be Intoxicated When Killed, Official Says - ABC News Finally, this, "A trail camera outside of nearby Whippleville took a photo of the two men this week, law-enforcement sources tell The Daily Beast. Authorities had asked hunters to deploy the cameras now instead of waiting until August, when they are normally placed ahead of deer-hunting season, which begins on October 1. The camera photographed both men and showed Matt holding a shotgun. Trail cameras are silent and it’s believed that the two men did not know they had been seen. Photographic evidence, including a time-stamp, helped authorities refine their search." (emphasis, mine.) Escaped Murderer Richard Matt Killed By Police After Carjacking - The Daily Beast So, if you can believe the authorities, the press, and civilian witnesses, these guys had access to shelter, food, and weapons. Someone, believed to be Matt, shot at a camping trailer in an attempted car-jacking, which led to his eventual demise. He was, reportedly, armed with a shotgun when killed, and likely intoxicated. Anyone may choose to believe the reporting, or not. If one chooses to believe it, then the cabins that were burglarized were better equipped than those to which you may be familiar, and the claim that the authorities lied about the escapees being armed is false. If one chooses not to believe the reporting, then any possible scenario, besides the reported one, is valid. |
^^^^^^ explain the other guards arrest.
That makes at least two people in on the escape deal . Its a dark place the abyss........ |
Sweat's been captured, had been shot but is alive and in Malone NY hospital.
|
Afterburn is going to have to get a grip ;)
|
I say let Sweat lay in the hospital until all the other patients are taken care of....then get around to him after an extended lunch break by all personnel

I always get a kick out of spokespersons when they refer to them as Mr. Matt and Mr. Sweat...instead of just calling them Matt and Sweat.
Considering they are convicted murderers as well as prison escapees....I'd think dropping the formalities would not be a protocol issue! |
Ok I was wrong..if they left him in Malone it was a death plan.
They moved him to a real hosp. (albany Med ) So go gloat i was wr, wa, wwr, wron , WRONG ! |
