At this point the BBC"top gear" format is like a lobotomized Jack Nicholson. Hopefully they will smother it with a pillow and start something completely anew.

I've noticed that on even the bbc news website and others (for example the daily mail over here - which spreads total lies and fiction IMO) that the level of writing and use of English language is becoming very poor. Spelling is usually ok but sentence structure, factual accuracy and basic language can be terrible.

Are "journalists" just bashing these articles out on their phones at the traffic lights, are the articles no longer getting proofed properly?

ps over here the Evans situation was a bit of a farce he protested so much that he wasn't in the running for TG it became ridiculous, mainly because he was such an obvious choice.

As has been mentioned, without Clarkson, May & Hammond it just won't be Top Gear.

Well now just hold on a second there...

When Bo and Luke Duke walked off the set of the Dukes of Hazzard, they were replaced by their 'cousins' Coy and Vance Duke, everyone thought the show had jumped the shark. That was in 1983. The fans did not take to Coy and Vance, and Bo and Luke returned to finish off the series.

So a car-related show lost its two main characters who returned after the network saw ratings plummet. If the new hosts tank, they may call upon the Top Gear trio to revive the show. Stranger things have happened in the world of TV...

That's always possible Z, but if Hammond, Clarkson, and May are already on a new show making more money without the political BS that came with the BBC......I doubt they will be coming back.
