How to lose weight properly:

1: Calculate TDEE (total daily expenditure): Calorie Calculator - Daily Caloric Needs and subtract 500 calories from that.

2: Download myfitnesspal for your phone and scan the barcodes of the foods you eat so the device remembers it.

3: Use a food scale to measure your food out and do weekly meal prep. It takes 2 hours a week and its super easy.

4: Go to the gym and lift heavy/do cardio. It will be difficult to gain muscle/strength on a calorie deficit so maybe cardio would be best.

Once you lose a little weight, you can start something like the following

Strong Lifts 5x5/

Starting Strength

Then switch to something like a Push/Pull/Legs or a brosplit. Its easy to research this on BB.com, most of you can rebuild a Porsche engine...this is a piece of cake. Figure out your macronutrient split too

The guys dead on. It's plain and simple. They way people have been doing it successfully for years. Without "fitbits", apps, or any of that gimicky nonsense.

Don't eat crap, and get off your lazy azz and exercise! Its not rocket science.

Derek is an incredibly mentally tough individual. He went through a hell of an ordeal after his initial injury and just kept overcoming the obstacles.

This guy nails it. If I could stick to the eating, I'm there.

That's the problem for most people. It's as if we're hardwired to eat if food is in front of us.

Is it a survival thing left over from our hunter gatherer days? Or the way our parents raised us?
