Sorry to hear.

Nice smear of one of the victims in the last paragraph.

Very weird to have even included that. I guess it's not really that weird these days, but it should be.

I agree, there was no need to post the paragraph about her husbands past in the same article.

May not be in good taste, but it doesn't surprise me at all that they included that tidbit.

Not putting miles on your car is like not having sex with your girlfriend, so she'll be more desirable to her next boyfriend.

Why is it that the drunk always seems to survive when they kill a family?

The high BAC helps the person survive a traumatic incident.

One of the most frustrating things to me, is I have followed a drunk driver for more than thirty miles, calling 911 repeatedly, no response whatsoever from Charlotte PD, or NC State Troopers(and they had a nightly speed trap on the other side of the interstate we went right past they could of moved to my side).

Gastonia didn't do anything either. As soon as he got off a divided highway, I was going to have to wreck him. I got to see a 18 wheeler drift when the drunk almost slammed into the cab. Talk about a frick ton of tire smoke.

Fortunately the exit the drunk took was a small town with Police Department that could do more than "make a note of it". Response, from small town. Driver was so drunk he had to have an officer on each side support him so he wouldn't fall over in hand cuffs.

Sadly, police in big cities have so much on their hands, they can only just move from non mobile victim to non mobile victim filing paperwork. I get that. What I don't get is why the NC State Troopers didn't move their speed trap from North Bound I-85 to South Bound I-85, the drunk's average speed from my first 911 call, mile marker I gave, and 911 call when he exited was an 80MPH Average. Drunk was running a path three lanes wide.

Glad I didn't follow him just to be a witness to a fatal accident.

Sorry the vent.

No worries about the vent; I understand the frustration and I am glad nobody got hurt or killed.

One way my wife gets law enforcement motivated is when she calls and they give her an excuse about not being able to respond she mentions that she will take care of the situation herself with the family shotgun unless someone responds.

Local sheriff or Deputy arrived within five minutes every time when we had the local gang-bangers hanging out by the community pool across the street from our old house throwing crap in the pool, drinking booze, drugs etc.
