Spoon values

I'm hoping PPOT can help out a little here--a co-worker inherited a group of spoons and is trying to ascertain a ballpark value--I know that pictures are worth a thousand words, but don't have any yet--I also know that condition is a big factor, and have listed that best I could based upon his descriptions--can any aficionados provide a rough estimate with the limited info below?
1. Remington 760 Gamemaster 30.06 pump with no-name scope--used condition

2. Taurus PT-22 semi stainless with wood grip--used condition

3. S&W .38 revolver 6"(?) barrel blue with wood grips--very good condition

4. Cal (never heard of) .380/9MM back-up semi below average condition--used often

5. Remington 1100 12 ga semi--black stock/fore--never fired

6. Ruger security six .357 stainless/wood grip--average condition

7. Firestar 9MM semi--avg condition

8. Walther PPK/S stainless .380 ACP semi--very good condition

9. Freedom Arms 22 derringer with extra cylinder MIB

10. S&W 9MM semi--not much info on this--MIB

I know this isn't much to go on, but any input is appreciated--he isn't looking to sell, just trying to determine rough values. Thanks as always.

Can't comment about the others, but I've had one of those little Freedom Arms 22LR for decades. You can buy current versions for a couple of hundred bucks new, not counting the extra cylinder. I understand the older ones might be worth maybe $50 more. I take mine with me hiking in the local mountains, just for something to make noise if necessary. We've had several recent sightings of mountain lions and a fatality from one back in the 90's. We also have feral pigs in the area.

I'd think you could get $400-$500 for the Security Six, maybe $550. The Smith (assuming it is a K frame) really depends, model 14's don't go cheap while model 10's usually are better bargains, and 15's are in between. Condition is everything, and what kind of grips matter (targets or Magnas, or aftermarket), also age, how many screws, pre mim, and so forth.

When gun values are discussed, unless the heavy hitters here weigh in, I do a search on gunbroker.com to get a relative value.

I did a few searches (on the ones I like):

Remington 760: Remington model 760 Gamemaster 30-06 : Pump Action Rifles at GunBroker.com

Remington 1100: Remington 1100 12 ga For Sale

Walther: Walther PPK/S stainless .380 For Sale

Not a perfect method by any means, but it at least gets you in the realm. Good luck. There are some nice Spoonage on the list.

I'd give you $350, would you sell it for that? If you're holding out for more, then you agree with me. I bought a Blackhawk in .357 last year for $250, that doesn't mean that's what it's worth.

I never said I did not agree but just hope you are correct... I have no idea what it's "really" worth. I just like the idea that I did not over pay....it was a bit of an impluse buy..

Regards,

Don't know why you can't find it. Every LGS here has lots of it! Some of the online vendors are even having "sales" for bulk purchases.
