2 car garage update

The time has come! I'm updating my garage to be a functional workshop for my 930 and other projects around the house.. The main reason for getting this going is insulation!!! So I'm going with the while you're in there might as well make it the way you want all at once. With the house being built in the 60's there is no insulation in the walls.. and my garage in living room have common walls and it gets pretty toasty in the summer time

Goals for this project are:
1. Insulation
2. Multi-functional workspaces
3. Lighting
4. Electrical updates (more outlets!!) would be nice to hook up a welder
5. Sink
6. Storage
7. In floor lift... maybe

Looking for some ideas and help along the way too. Visions of Jack's 12 gauge garage are in my head but most likely won't be going that far, but it could be in the works over a period of time. Going to try and do this on a budget because I'd rather spend the money on my 930

Is this one of those trick tests where you're supposed to tell what's different between 2 photos?

First off- burn whatever laundry is hanging from the hanger in the center.
Second- what will you do with your second bay- is that just for projects, or a daily driver?
If that is just for "fun" stuff- you've got a lot of room!

I think that's a chamois, unless Jacob is making a Pocahontas dress. I didn't know people still used chamois these days.

I will check it out! My goal is not to spend to much money, but I'm guessing that's been said before on lots of projects haha

I guess "after" would be the incorrect word.. maybe just the the way I left it yesterday after I started

Got a little more progress done tonight. The top section didn't have any insulation and the wall on the right as well as that is the common wall with a hallway/entryway. There was some insulation on the bottom but very patch as it was caught on that diagonal board creating pockets with none

You definately want to get some batt insulation (pink owens corning) in between those joists to keep the "bought air" inside the living space. You may want to hang some peg board over the new drywall to give you a wall of storage possabilities, or possible get some salvaged kitchen cabinets for a more permanent solution. If the floor is decent, I would lay down checkerboard tiles (alternating black/white). For lighting you need some T5 or T8 florescent fixtures over whgere you plan on working, and plenty of outlets (1 or 2 on each wall). I like the idea of having a retractable coiled air hose on a reel mounted on the wall, and right beside it have an electric cord retractable reel. Those bicycles can be hung upside down at the front of the garage on mountable hangers also.
