I use the red light setting a lot. Pretty good for about $50. https://www.pewpewtactical.com/best-tactical-flashlights/ . |

Surefire. what great lights.
I feel they kinda priced themselves out of the fight.

The Fenix I have is great…just don’t like that big rubber button at the tail end. In reality, I use my headlamps the most. Unfortunately, even with the high end models I buy, I can’t get more than 2 years out of them before the are dead or fall apart

The Seeker 4 Mini is great. The UV seems better on the Arfeld Pro in my opinion. The lazer on the Arfeld is nuts. If someone is a contractor or building inspector etc I imagine it would be very useful to point out something way high up on a ceiling etc….very powerful. I took a gamble on it and ended up really loving it so I got my dad one and he loves it too. Fits in pocket very well too. I expected to not like it but it has needed up being my favorite flashlight so far. If you’re not into them, check out the Seeker 4 Mini. No lazer though. Otherwise it’s a small almost perfect light ….hard to beat for $55. On sale now. https://www.olightstore.com/seeker-4-mini-white-and-uv-led-flashlight

I have a nitecore TN12 or similar in every one of car. Just big enough so I can hang on to it but skinny enough to not get in the way. I think they are just under an inch in dia. Personally, I like simple flash lights. A single tail switch with three modes. Low, med, high and no strobe light and I hate cycling through the strobe mode. Ability to do a tail stand is a must. If you ever need custom lights made, I know a guy in Seattle that will make flash lights to your specs or his. I had him make a couple floody lights for me using the typical 1" EDC casing using 18650. Sometimes, I am not concern with throw but real working light that doesn't blind the user. For head lamps, have you try Zebra light. I like their 18650 with floody lens. Great light. I am sure there are better lights out there now, but those headlights are used often and they don't die. Mine has been all over the world. |

Damn you Ramonesfreak. Why did you have to post a link to that flat O-light. I just lost 100 on Amazon. I like the laser pointer feature and the UV light all in one.

Flashlights are one thing, and the batteries for them are another.
My Surefire 18650 were OK, then one crapped out. I replaced them with Panasonic ones. They seem to last 3 or 4 times longer before recharging. |

I posted a link to the Seeker 4 Mini not the Arkfeld Pro (the flat one). If you got the Arkfeld Pro let me know how you like it

I like the laser for pointing out things as a contractor. That's the main reason I ordered it. Plus, the UV light comes in handy. I sure will report back. Those mini lights such as the Seeker Mini the are too small and always seems to slip through my finger falling into some cracks that I will never be able to get the light back. I wish they made a swivel head on the Arkfeld so the light can be angled downward to use as an emergency work light using the magnetic attachment to a metal pole.

I got this off of Amazon for $35. Puts out a reported 1 million lumens. Not sure if that’s true, but trying to look into it is like trying to look into an aircraft landing light. Plus, it’s got a work light built into the side that will light up an entire room or work area. On top of that it even comes with a little tripod. Finally, it is USB rechargeable and you can charge your phone or any other device off a USB output. And each one of the two lights has three brightness settings.

They have the "Arkfeld" which is flashlight, UV, and laser all in one. The have the "Arkflex" which has a head that will swivel to 90º, but is only a flashlight (no UV or Laser). https://www.olightstore.com/arkflex-adjustable-right-angle-flashlight ![]()

Very interesting. I've heard good things about Panasonic batteries (I think here on PPOT). I've never thought about it for these rechargeables.

My Olight headlight takes 16340 My Thrunight takes 18650 My Olight flashlight takes 21700 What a pain! LOL! Where do you get your Panasonic batteries that you're sure that you aren't getting counterfeits?

Delivered few hours ago. The flashlight itself in Turbo mode isn't too impressive but enough for daily use. Press three times, goes into turbo mode. Can't compare to my Thrunite Tn12, similar to Fenix's PD35 on high but that's not what this light is designed for. I still hate to have the strobe mode but hey, life goes on. Love the laser and it can be seen during daylight That is a huge plus for me. I just tried in pitch darkness, the laser is visible three houses away The high mode is ok, enough to see most things and the hot spot is perfectly round, more like a floody light instead of a torch which I really like for general use. The square light feel takes some getting use to. I normally dislike thumb switches but ergonomically works pretty well in my hand. This one is a keeper so I am buying a few more and hand it off to my workmen. I is handy to have instead using the DeWalt light that runs off tool batteries. Those damn thing are bright and blinding but no laser. That's a very nice feature I found useful in my line of work.

I don't know if they are fakes, but I buy from these guys https://megabatteries.com/3-7-volt-panasonic-18650-lithium-ion-battery-3400-mah/?gad_source=1 My old eyes like the Zebra 18650 floody head lamps. I don't even use the Zebra AA anymore. The over the head strap makes is very comfortable to use. |
