Hello Trevor ,first sorry i miss spelled your name early on,and i am not very good on computer so you will have to bare with me.It was interesting to heir you talk about time its the same with me,especially at my age 70 this year, also the all the work on your Porsche you have been really busy, funny you mentioned poly or rubber on suspension
1993-94 in Sacramento my wife owned a really nice 1972,yes i realize should never have sold it,any way i changed out some of the suspension bushes to poly and i was never happy with them car was slightly harsh etc so i changed back to rubber,We are both NewZealanders live here on the gold coast as it is warmer than south island NZ, Went to US in 1987, purchased a 1953 Buick Skylark convertible from Sacramento rough unrestored in but rust free, paid $10.000, then shipped back to NZ,not sure if know what 53 skylark is but its Buicks rarest car 50th anniversary model, when we got it back to NZ friends thought we were mad actually we flew back on the 22nd october ,day of the share market crash, spent 2 years restoring it shipped back to Sacramento 1990 ,received second place at Buick National 1991,and many firsts, silverado, Palo alto, st Marys 1992--1993.sold it 1994.We managed apartment complexes for the next 7 years, Rancho Cordova, Davis, Sacramento, why there owned 69 911,71 911, 72 911 88 sc, and many other makes and models. Moved Back to NewZealand 1992. WE love US,an experiance we will never forget, thankyou for your kind words Regards. |
