Change Seat Color with Leatherique?

I've looked at their site and checked out a few links, but I'm curious if anyone here has changed the color of a car seat with Leatherique?

The reason I ask is because I'm having trouble sourcing new driver and passenger seats for our Volvo 960. The seats are leather on the front/seat back is vinyl if it matters, and our color is that sort of peanut butter colored tan they used for a long time.

Also if anyone knows a place that even has '92-'94 Volvo 9xx seats in leather in good condition I'm all ears. There are none locally.

Garage
Had my seats in the 911 redyed, came out great and looked good for 10 years, then I sold it. Black leatherique seats faded at typical friction points. Looked almost new after and not very expensive.

I've done it in an E36 BMW. If you prep per their instructions and are patient, it can look really good.

I'd suggest calling a couple of high-end local car dealers and see if they can put you in touch with the best guy on dying seats. Is the color just bad on yours, or are the seats torn up? What's the VIN of your 960?

I've used it to dye front seats, door panels, door tops, and the dash on a couple of cars. As stated above, prep is the key to success! If anyone ever put armourall or any silicon based preservative/treatment you must be VERY diligent and follow their instructions to a tee. Otherwise, the seats could look blotchy and may transfer dye to clothes. Clean, clean, clean, prep, prep, prep, dry, dry, dry and they could look and perform like new. Good luck, this is a great option.

I've taken the seat cover to a couple of local places and they both said that it's done. There are a couple of seams that came apart on the seatback which I thought was repairable, and the seat bottom needs some attention and a new pad. This is what it looks like.

At best one said they could make new covers for the seat with material sourced from their book. This is what got me down the path of trying to find a new seat in our color, or possibly one in any color if the leather was good and then using Leatherique to change it to match ours and redye our existing passenger seat at the same time.

Our VIN is YV1KS9503N0015111 and the interior color code is 6950
The passenger seat is definitely redyeable - the actual leather is in great shape still. It's just finding some kind of replacement or repair for the driver's seat - the interior looks almost showroom fresh except for this one big thing.

I'm curious what the VIN revealed... or whether I should find another leather place to repair the stitched areas? I'm fine with redyeing both seats if that's what it comes to. Or replacing the seat, really I'm not particular.

Dunno about Leatherique but I've had nothing but good experiences with Surflex on all kind of Porsches.

Needed the VIN to see if the seat covers are still offered, which they're not. Suggest talking to an upholstery shop on the driver's seat.

With the split seams on the driver's seat that is beyond Leatherique. I would look for a set of good used seats or seat covers.

I've used surflex (similar to leatherique) with success but that drivers seat is toast. Once the stitching is gone that bad and the cracks are that big, you need new material. Used and dye seems to be the route to take.
