G'day!

Yo Don,
I would just relax as Scott said and let the wheels turn. It does take a little time for stuff like this to get processed. I'd wait until late Thursday or Friday and then if no transaction reverse call your Visa person back up and touch base with him/her. IMHO you did the right thing by contacting Visa. I use my CC through my PP account - never directly out of my bank account - just for potential situations like this. Keep us posted and enjoy the few days off.

I had an $11,500 Visa dispute about 10 years ago. It took about 3 months and it was a fairly formal process.
I filed the dispute with Visa in writing. I had to prove to Visa that I had contacted the vendor and had tried to work the problem out. Visa issued a provisional chargeback (ie I didn't have to pay that portion of my Visa bill). Visa took my complaint to the vendor. The vendor made his case in writing, sent it to Visa, who then sent it to me for comment. Visa looked at the original complaint, the vendor's response, and my reply to the vendor's response, and made the chargeback permanent. Visa was adamant that everything be done in writing, no phone calls.

Well now...the dial cord just broke. Probably original from 1976...dried up and weak.
Took the cover off...called AudioDoctor...he has the cord and said it's a PITA to re-string. I'll let him do it. Just another issue - but I'm not discouraged yet. ![]() . BTW, thanks for all the input, gents.

OK, just to complete this story...
VISA sent me some forms to fill out...I told my story and included a copy of the technician's invoice for the cost to bring the Marantz up to the condition that the ebay seller claimed. Well, today I rec'd a notice in the mail that VISA credited my acct. for the original cost of the unit on ebay from back on Aug. 12th. $1,031.11 . So thanks gents for all your support and info. BTW, the Marantz 2325 is now happily pumping its little brains out.
