Best free photo sharing site?
I would like to upload some photos (hundreds), mostly off my phone, to share with distant family. They should be able to download and print using the original resolution jpgs (about 1.5 MB each). After they have them printed, I would delete them.
What is the best site to host these pictures where they are easily viewed and downloaded by others? Also, a site that doesn't spam you daily with offers as a result of having your email. ??? Thanks, George |

Agree with Dropbox.
They have a free trial if you only need it once. Easy Gary |

How much is Dropbox?
I have been sending hard copies, which is still fun to receive for friends and family, but that postage can easily pay for a service ... G |

Flickr is specifically photo sharing.
Dropbox is for sharing any kind of files. Both are good.

For what you are trying to do, either would work (I use both too).
Flickr and other photo sharing sites are not really designed/intended for temporary storage where you delete photos after a while but certainly you could do that. With Dropbox you can create a group shared folder and park all the files there and your designated family members can sync directly to their computers. With Flickr they would order prints or download the files from their web browser - I don't know of a way to quickly download hundreds of files all at once on Flickr though - so Dropbox may be your best choice. Both are free up to a certain size limit which I forget, but it's pretty huge. I have paid pro accounts on both since I use them so heavily. I'm cjcam on Flickr.

Great! I think Dropbox is the way to go from what you guys describe for easy download. I'll sign up with them.
Thanks! George |

Dropbox is free if you don't use more than 2 GB of space.
