Computer to TV hook up, no sound
So, I have an older TV that does not have an HDMI port. VGA only. VGA to VGA hook up will allow play back but no sound except from the laptop.
Any ideas? TV does NOT have a headphone port. |

Does it have RCA inputs? If so, get an mini plug to RCA adapter.

VGA cable is only video data. If you want audio, you'll have to have other cables or speakers.

Get a set of the large computer speakers. Place them near the tv, but plugged into your laptop. Look for the kind that need to be plugged into an outlet for power.
