Oil for snowblower....
This is the first time I am changing the oil in my Husqvarna ST121E snowblower. It is a push snowblower and is a small engine. Recommended oil in the manual states automotive detergent oil with an API service classification of SJ,SL or higher.
So what kind of oil is this? Because the snowblower will primarily be used in below freezing temps then viscosity is a factor? Is there a more generic term that I should be looking for in terms of oil? Oh yes it is a 4 stroke motor. Thanks in advance.

I would use 10W30...non-synthetic, maybe Castrol...

Husqvarna recommends 5W30 on their site. I use Kendall, because that is what the local shop sells.

I base the decision upon the temp of the machine when started. Heated garage-->5 or 10W30. If the machine's temp will be whatever ambient might be, 0W30 synthetic.
