How about them Royals?
Win game 1 in the longest opening game in World Series History (14 innings) and win the second game with the starting pitcher (Cueto) pitching the entire game! SmileWavy

couldn't believe he went the whole game. kept waiting for him to slip but he never really did.
great, great hitting team. |
Good for the Royals, I could never root for the Mets. I take some solace in knowing that my Astros pushed the Royals further than any other team has thus far. In fact, the stros were just six outs from the series win before the Royals put some magic in their bats.
Enjoy and am looking forward to next year. |
Looking like World Series Champions...great organization, with a really cool history.
I remember growing up in San Jose, when the local minor league team, The Bees, were a Royals affiliate. First time I heard about Kaufmanns Baseball Academy, I bugged my Mom for weeks to get me an application. She said no, you'll just have to be a Giants fan. Congrats, and good luck, we will see how they do without the DH. |
I'm sure glad I was able to figure out my FIOS cable problem so I could see these games in HD.
Talk about exciting baseball, this has to be one of the best series I've ever seen. |
I am rooting for the Mets, as I loved La Potencia when he was an Athletic. Still gotta cheer for my boy.
|
Loving it! As a kid, I attended Royals games to see the opposing team because they were so bad. I think their breed of baseball is how the game should be played, and they have some of the best team chemistry that I have ever seen. It's nice to see professionals having fun playing a game, because isn't that the point?

KC is unstoppable this year. I watched them beat up on my Twins this summer in Minneapolis.

They rock,Just hope they can pull it off.

Just look at this picture my buddy sent me the other day. He was getting Moose and Hoos ready for an interview on MLB. I think these guys realize how good they've got it. Making more money than they really need playing a game that so many of us have played as kids and only wish we could play now. They really look like they're having fun. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1446217209.jpg |
To me, this summed them up last year: Eric Hosmer and Royals teammates party with fans and throw down $15,000 for drinks | The Kansas City Star
How many MLB players will invite their fans to celebrate with them at a local bar, then cover the tab? Just an awesome group of guys, I hope KC can hold onto them for a while. |

Royals got their a#^es kicked last night. Go Mets!!

Go Mets! ....cause the gd Royals beat my Blue Jays..... |
If they end up tied tonight, I'll get a little worried. Mets played great last night and totally stole the Royals swagger. Should be a great series.
|
That was standard Royals baseball tonight. All we need is just one more! Let's go Royals!
|
They never quit, I love it.
|
Classic Royals baseball last night. Cain's at bat was HUGE!
Syndergaard's first pitch is going to backfire on the Mets big time. As a lifelong Yankee fan who has as a little kid saw George Brett's bomb in person off goose gossage .... Trust me, if not for the stadium that ball would still be going. Go Royals! Apparently Timo Perez taught Cespedes how to run the bases :) |
Out town has been electric ALL season - for good reason. Stellar players and guys. A class act all the way around. They showed they can play dirty when dirty is played against them. I'd love to see them take it at home, but I'd be just as happy to see mets get handed their hats tonight. We'll see. GO Royals!!
