Anyone into scooters ?

I just picked up an older Honda Aero 50 to tool around on when we are out of town, or at the campgrounds when we are traveling. I bought it on the cheap not running, and just got it to fire a few days ago. Pretty quick little bugger for 50 cc.
We always have a blast when we rent them in Key West touring the island . The wifey even likes to ride, although she hates motorcycles .
It is small, and light, I can load it into the back of my truck single handed without ramps. I can see this being a fun little diversion . The new ones seem a whole lot nicer and faster . I'll probably grab one up for her as well.
I have also found that there is a huge aftermarket for performance parts .
This is just a stock photo, I have all the panels off mine to repaint right now. but it is the same model . Mine was pretty scratched up .

That's not a scoter. This is a scooter!

In Rarotonga I had a Suzuki 125 scooter. I loved it. Ha, being able to fit three coconuts and six donuts under the seat. The auto transmission allowed me to eat the seventh donut with one hand as I weaved though the (six cars) traffic with the other hand. Electric start. GF want's to buy one to use for commuting so she can park directly outside her work with free parking.

Transportation of choice when I am in Key West, for ease of parking downtown.

I have a Hyosung Sense 50cc, reliable and low maintenance.

Nice find. Scoots are awesome for what they are.
Not fast but better than walking!
Have a pair of Suzuki rv90s. Worth their weight in gold!

I have a couple of VeloSolex's - including an ultra rare fold up model called a 'Pli-solex'.

They only do 30kph but they are lots of fun. In our city they are rated as 'power-assisted bicycles', so we can ride them on the bike paths.

This picture proves that they do attract chicks ...!!!

Portland is a big scooter town. They have some pretty serious characters in that scene. A few friends of mine roll with em.

A typical scooter club party usually involves a loud, fast punk band playing in front of a makeshift dirtbike track in someone's backyard. The combination of rain and spilled beer usually turns this into a mudfight for everyone.

I once watched a guy launch a modded Lambretta off a wooden ramp into a tree. Good times.

This evening.. You could write a movie about it.

I like the look of the Ruckus. It has sort of and Industrial/Glock look to it.
