Sounds plausible. What really confuses me is all the rust in areas that should not have ever been exposed to ice or salt, and that even on cars that sat outdoors abandoned for 50+ years are not rusted out. Like the left side of the dash - I've never seen that completely rot through.
I keep looking for signs of a major accident while in motion and just can't find much. My guess is that it rolled down a hill, then maybe sat tarped in an area where lots of condensation built up underneath or was leaky enough for lots of water to seep in but still too solid for it to not be able to evaporate?

Maybe but the guy tends not to lowball and pays cash, as in money wired to your account within hours. No hassle on paperwork etc...
He bought a 57' 220 Coupe from my brother last week. Paid fair asking price without blinking.

The price is absurdly high. I happen to know the the 912 below sold for a more realistic $300.
