While I have very strong convictions when it comes to music....I don't impose my preferences on others.

Java - good for you to post your preferences. If someone else doesn't like it....they can f off, right?

Just having a little fun. I fully support a person's right to choose the soundtrack of their lives!

All in good fun.... or in this case, great fun...

Never thought we'd see Bread mentioned in this thread! :)

Well, to be fair (and this is all in good fun), JavaBrewer did not state his preferences, he stated what he doesn't like. So, according to your own words, JavaBrewer can F off, right?:D

Baz, you have just paid the ultimate left-handed compliment!

Going out on a limb here, ready the flame throwers, ye that hold my opinions blasphemous - I don't really like "Bread" too much, but when I was ten or so, I kinda thought the song "This is what the Govern-meant" was a pretty catchy novelty song.

:-)

I love the intro to Voodoo Child, gets me fired up every time I hear it. I think the pace of Castles made of Sand is perfect, what a great song. Do I have to pick one?

billybek 11-20-2015 04:03 AM

I don't know what it is about this song but "Remember" has always been a favorite of mine.

It seems that most of Jimmie's songs are under lock and key. Nothing seems to surface online for long without content being blocked.

Who Knows or Machine Gun off of the Band Of Gypsys album.

I always loved the second version of Machine Gun on the live at Filmore album (is that Band of Gypsies? Had it and can't remember now lol) It was amazing how different the two versions were. Stunning improv.

Hehe, thanks for noticing! I have been busy with Life. Extremely happy mind you. Living with the love of my Life. We now have a baby girl of 6 months (no 5 for me). It feels like I finally have come home. But hey, I am only 50 in January. SmileWavy

billybek 11-20-2015 06:29 AM

Congrats, Markus. Good to see you still checking in...

livi 11-20-2015 06:37 AM

Thanks gentlemen! :)

scottmandue 11-20-2015 06:47 AM

My first reaction was Little wing... but then someone mentioned Castles made of sand... and then Voodoo child...

Can't pick one.

Cajundaddy 11-20-2015 07:10 AM

Too many to list! I am a Blues hound so Red House is top 5, also Castles, Wind Cries Mary, Fire, Voodoo Child, Watchtower, Little Wing... aaaaah!

Well, no accounting for taste. Carly Simon then? :D
