I'd say that the way the study determined if we were creative was bogus. Kids have boundless imaginations because they don't have experience to guide them. When the things that they create are crap, they are fine with that. As folks grow older, if they aren't good at being creative (painting, drawing, music, whatever...) I suspect many stop trying to be creative in those mediums. That doesn't mean that they are no longer creative. I would say that there is more than .13% of the population that is creative. If it was that low, I don't know that we'd have much art, music, theater, food, drink, Internet, etc....

Within my repertoire of dishes that I make I don't look at the recipe nor use measuring spoons

When I look at a recipe I can tell what to add, subtract or substitute to make it better.

With writing I am constantly adding conventions. As far as content I open the book and there before me lies the universe in an explosion of light and wonderment. The walls of the box have fallen away and I am free.
