Handspoon
I was in a local shop and picked up a Browning Citori 725 for my Son for Christmas/Birthday/Eagle Scout rank achievement/lettering in clay target and saw a revolver that fit my hand like it was made for it: The S&W Governor.
 I'm thinking about giving this to myself as a Christmas present. Just a hand gun for SD and fun. I'm sure a 1911 would be as fun and have more rounds but I just like revolvers and a .410 shell in there seems interesting. Any thoughts?

We've discussed the Taurus "Judge" in depth. Just do a search.
In short, these revolvers chambered for the .410 shotgun shell have only one target audience: Those who are easily impressed and less than gun savvy. It sounds like a "badass" combination. It is anything but. You would probably be better off throwing the box of shells at any assailant.

I'm more interested in the new Ruger .45ACP / .45 Colt Redhawk -- THAT looks like a worthy wheelgun.
To be fair, though, the S&W "Governor" is leagues beyond any of the Taurii in quality, and it'll still shoot .45 ACP and .45 Colt. Lehigh Defense makes a truly terrifying-looking .45 Colt round for these types of revolvers. I don't know how genuinely effective it is as self defense round, but it sure looks the part.

I have a Judge, and to say I am unimpressed would be an understatement. Just think hand held blunderbuss. It works well for snakes but as something to use for self defense, it is a better club than a spoon.

Get a nice S & W in .357 you won't regret it. Drop dead reliable, will also feel good in the hand and .357 will get anyone's attention !

I have one I inherited.
Fun to shoot a few times to blow up water jugs then it's back in the bag. If I could only choose 1 gun, Glock 19.
