Looks like the great Chip Kelly NFL experiment is over
Man, did he destroy that team.
Seems like another example of ego and hubris leading to a fall. It was puzzling when he basically got rid of all their great players, I think on his theory that he was such a coaching genius that he didn't need them. Oops. He needs to go back to a crooked college team with a rich donor and no salary cap. |

Good lord, how do you leave a backup D back on Megatron for most of a game in single coverage? Why would you cover Megatron in single coverage with a starter?
Billy Davis is as much responsible for this as Chip. Chip wanted Marriotta and sold out to get him, didn't work. Bradford was ok but the aging line allowed him to get wailed once too often. Many many mistakes... He certainly looked like a deer in the headlights at his press conference. Sucks to be a Philly guy right now, our BEST team from a percentage standpoint was the Phillies that lost 90 games.

He will be back in college next year making more than ever. Some coaches aren't cut out for the NFL.

Seems to be the popular theory. If Les Miles is pushed out at LSU I really don't see him as a fit for that job.

USC doesn't make much sense to me. USC is the land of divas, have we not learned how much Kelly doesn't play well with divas?

I think USC is a good fit for his scheme - wide open fast paced offense, not much defense.
 I can't see him fitting in well at an SEC school.

You beat me to LSU. If they have enough cash to offer he'll go there. Getting rid of Les Miles would be absolutely stupid IMO though.
There's always USC or maybe the real long shot - Texas (wish they'd Keep Strong another year or five...)

The Eagles asked for it. Looking at his resume, I wouldn't consider him a great coach. A few conference championships and no national title just doesn't add up to greatness in my eyes, especially with the talent and check book he had at Oregon.
I think he should be given a timeless opportunity to stay in Philadelphia so he can prove himself. The fans deserve it. LSU is off their rocker if they dump Les Miles, they won't find better. Texas needs Charlie Strong, and so do I. He keeps things at a tolerable level around here.

Based on their recent history, Rutgers is probably dumb enough to grab Kelly as soon as he becomes available, and offer him very big $$$$$$.
