Happy turkey day!
Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends here!
I'm doing some work in the morning and then headed over to Mom's later for turkey dinner. It's been a heck of a year and there's much to give thanks for. Thanks for all of your fellowship....best wishes to you and yours for a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.

Pumpkin pies out of the oven, dressing and cranberry sauce completed. Turkey brined and ready to go into the oven tomorrow morning right after I finish my 7:30 half-marathon.
Yes, I'm a sucker for punishment. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

I hope everyone has an enjoyable day tomorrow. It's a busy day, but please stop an take time to stop and reflect on all you have to be thankful for.
I just put two pumpkin pies in the oven. Pie crust is a beotch. I need to make more than 3 or 4 pies a year to stay in practice. These are going to be ugly, but I'm sure the flavor and texture will be right.

Landmark day for me. Since last Thanksgiving, my daughter had our first grandchild (Trevor), bought their first house, and will be having Thanksgiving dinner at her house. She has crossed fully into an independent adult, and we've crossed into arrive-and-eat grandparents. Life goes by fast.
