Pumpkin pies out of the oven, dressing and cranberry sauce completed. Turkey brined and ready to go into the oven tomorrow morning right after I finish my 7:30 half-marathon.
Yes, I'm a sucker for punishment. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

I hope everyone has an enjoyable day tomorrow. It's a busy day, but please stop an take time to stop and reflect on all you have to be thankful for.
I just put two pumpkin pies in the oven. Pie crust is a beotch. I need to make more than 3 or 4 pies a year to stay in practice. These are going to be ugly, but I'm sure the flavor and texture will be right.

Thanks Baz for starting this thread!
It can be hard to focus on it these days, but there is a lot that's good going on. And being able to hang with you all on pelican is one of them. Happy Thanksgiving ! Cheers Richard |

Thanks Baz. Happy Thanksgiving to you too.
Landmark day for me. Since last Thanksgiving, my daughter had our first grandchild (Trevor), bought their first house, and will be having Thanksgiving dinner at her house. She has crossed fully into an independent adult, and we've crossed into arrive-and-eat grandparents. Life goes by fast.
