Spoon help, Springfield Arms .45 XD

Looking for a retailer that carries the Canyon Creek magazine kit that extends magazine capacity to 18 rounds. Any help appreciated.

The 18 round mags are back ordered and they don't lock back at empty, so the kit is the better and cheaper option.

I'm going to get a 45 XD tonight. 18 rounds huh? I was happy seeing 13+1 capacity.
I've been going back and forth for about a month and decided on the Springfield because it has a thumb safety. How do you like your gun? Everything I've read they're very solid and don't really care what you run through them.

Pretty good so far..

Canyon Creek is the only game in town on extended mags. Good reputation, just NLA on the mags and the thing about no lock out on the empty mag is a killer.

But being in CA (visiting), no go as they are banned, the stock 13 mag, the 18 mag AND the kit. Will have to have a buddy buy and ship it to me or wait until I get back to Oregon.

edit: They accepted my online order. We'll see if it ships. I'll let you know how the mod goes. I ordered 2 kits and have four mags. Can always order more.
It seems the lock back is also disabled with with the kits.

I have one of these. Solid spoon. Dead reliable, according to my research.

Ummmm.....if you get into a firefight requiring more than 14 rounds, then perhaps you need something belt-fed. My humble opinion. Plus....this thing is heavy enough with the stock mag full.

Back in the day when I had my AR-15 rifles, before I saw the light and moved to black powder, I had bought half a dozen 30 round magazines from Black Dog but they would only sell me the "parts"! CA law said they could not even ship large capacity mags to CA but nothing about "repair" parts! Sort of like some smog related car parts which if not CARB approved, mail order places will not even ship them to a CA address.
