Grew up on 2 strokes. Daughter has one currently but is outgrowing it.

I don't, however, have this facebook thing.

I sold a '72 H2 last year for $1,200.....Very rough.......Wished I had taken the time to restore, but not in the cards.... I would would have paid a few more Quid for yours.......

The smell of bean oil in the morning......

I still have a Lawn Boy. Such a simple reliable mower. Its perfect. Screw the EPA. Clean burner, sip of 100:1 synthetic.

I'll keep running my old 2 stroke outboards, small, light weight and powerful. They run great on modern synthetic oil making less smoke. Easy to fix and maintain.

Facebook

I remember when the World Wide Web was open for anyone. You did not have to sign up with your real name to get and share information. Why do people assume everyone is on Facebook? Bugs me big time and I will refuse to sign up. I hope something else will come along soon ...

Angriest bike I ever rode. Seemed like it was always trying to kill me. Loved it!

asphaltgambler 12-11-2015 06:03 AM

^^^^^Which is why it deserved the name 'Widow Maker'^^^^^ Wheel base too short on early models, too much frame flex and poor geometry for sooo much power.........

Plus is was also soooo easy to easily exploit the tuning / power on a H2......

Yorkie 12-11-2015 06:49 AM

I sold it quite soon after I rebuilt it. They say never ride/drive your heroes and growing up the H2 was one of mine. Being a '72 the motor was hard mounted and it tended to vibrate even though I has the stock handlebars with the lead weights in the ends. I grew up in the UK riding RD400s so this thing felt like a bit of pig in comparison. Apparently the S3 400 is the triple to buy if you want to actually ride the bike. That said I am going to try and find a good RZ350 here in SoCal once I clear all this Ducati crap out of my garage. Here is what it looked like when I bought ithttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1449848958.jpg

I think I made it to 3 my first time.

Wait, in and out each count as a stroke, right? In/out/in=3 strokes. :)

I had the S3 before the H2. The S3 had no brakes, the frame had a hinge in the middle and it could mix a gallon of paint in under a mile.

patz 12-11-2015 12:00 PM

Kaw supposedly made a 900 triple?

MikeD930 12-11-2015 01:13 PM

^^^No 900 triples were produced.

Oh yeah...I love 2-strokes, too. I refuse to give in to 4-strokes (dirt bikes...not cars or street bikes!). No FB account though.
