Desktop or laptop?, what are you using it for?

I use defense in depth, OpenDNS in the cloud as the first line, Cisco AMP and Symantec on the PC's

AVG used to be good but they relocated a lot of goodies on the pay side
Kaspersky is russian - if you are OK with giving them the keys go for it
Norton blows, McAfee blows (from a corporate use standpoint anyway)
Symantec is not that bad - but updates have a tendency to break things...
I'd stick with the one supplied with Windows... Or yeah, get a mac but that's generally not a helpful comment.

At work we have a mix. 99% of the time, they are behind a Netgear Firewall. However, PEBKAC.
