People done right thread.
I would like to give some props to a local jewelry store.
Several months ago, I took a watch with a broken band to them. They spent 45 minutes trying to fit a new pin in it. They had a "close" fit, but not a perfect fit, so, for "my" patience of waiting so long, they GAVE me the close fit pin no charge. I took the "close" fit pin back to my dental office, and within 45 seconds modified the pin to a "perfect" fit. Another pin broke on the watch. Remembering their commitment, I immediately returned to the store. They did not have the new pin. "We will have to send this out" they said. Thinking I had some other spare pins- I told them I would look first, but, as usual, I never could find my box of watch parts. So I went back to the store. I announced to the manager I needed to drop my watch off with them to have it shipped to their repair person for a new pin. He looked at me and said "Follow me." He walked out of his kiosk, pointed out of the shopping center to an adjacent shopping center, and said... "That guy will have your pin".... go there. He was right. $5 bucks later I was back in action with no down time. I am completely blown away this store put MY needs above theirs. Inspirational- so I thought I'd share. The store is Shaw's jewelers in Harrisonburg, Virginia. I don't want to get the staff in trouble, so shhhh!!!!!, but they need recognition!!! I will be buying from them in the future! Thanks guys!!!! |

A couple of times/year I'll get in the mood to whip out a box...it's enjoyable and I give them away.
