One car Atkinson has said he will not own is a Porsche:

I have a problem with Porsches. They're wonderful cars, but I know I could never live with one. Somehow, the typical Porsche people – and I wish them no ill – are not, I feel, my kind of people. I don't go around saying that Porsches are a pile of dung, but I do know that psychologically I couldn't handle owning one.

I'll give him my best sneer face with the weird eyes.

I suspect he is refering to the British upper middle classes who buy a brand new one, keep it for six months, and sell it once all the neighbours and golf club people have seen them in it.

He likes "real cars" and real car people.

Remember, he is the guy that trashed a McLaren F1 twice, but still sold it for a £7 million profit

You forgot to put that in green. I've met plenty of engineers that were total dumbasses. Couldn't engineer their way out of a box...

You can't pass electrical engineering and be a moron.

You can be impractical, and a poor engineer, but the math is a serious litmus test.

He was great as Black Adder.

I have never seen a single episode of Mr. Bean and if Mythbusters had not done an episode on painting a room with dynamite (it does not work) I would have never heard of him. They showed a clip (on Mythbusters) of him painting a room with just his perfect silhouette left on one wall.

Has the F1 gone up that much in value? Hard to believe!

He must hang out with Jeremy Clarkson.

How's he different than bike guys that don't want a Harley, or even the Porsche guys that think the 911 is the only model worth owning? To each his own...
