Rowan Atkinson ("Mr. Bean") On Porsches
One car Atkinson has said he will not own is a Porsche:
I have a problem with Porsches. They're wonderful cars, but I know I could never live with one. Somehow, the typical Porsche people – and I wish them no ill – are not, I feel, my kind of people. I don't go around saying that Porsches are a pile of dung, but I do know that psychologically I couldn't handle owning one. I suspect he is refering to the British upper middle classes who buy a brand new one, keep it for six months, and sell it once all the neighbours and golf club people have seen them in it.
He likes "real cars" and real car people. |

He is an engineer, so he probably isn't a complete moron...
And I am sure if I drove a McLaren to the limit I would crash it. Probably not twice. I suspect he is not referring to air cooled owners.... Sounds like a car guy that does not like P-cars. So be it.

Somehow Rowan Atkinson - and I wish him no ill - is not, I feel, my kind of people. I don't go around saying his humor is moronic, but I just can't stand watching him.

I have never seen a single episode of Mr. Bean and if Mythbusters had not done an episode on painting a room with dynamite (it does not work) I would have never heard of him. They showed a clip (on Mythbusters) of him painting a room with just his perfect silhouette left on one wall.
