First Deer
My son got his first deer this year! He swelled with pride when my wife served tenderloins from his deer for dinner and praised him for feeding our family. It was a proud moment for me, too!

I'm eagerly awaiting the day I can write the same thing. My son gets discouraged because when we go out and are in our 2 man stand he doesn't see a lot of deer. He knows my single stand is in a really good spot. I try to explain that hunting requires patience but I understand at 13 I didn't have the patience I grew into later in life.
Tell your son I said congratulations! And if you have a decent pic please post it. |

Nothing better than that. Mine are especially proud if wild game is served to guests and I announce who got it for them! Just yesterday we had wild turkey for dinner and we remembered our hunt together. Say what you want, but you will never have this experience buying a chicken breast at Safeway ...

Good for him. Good to see him out in nature. Bow, rifle, knife?

Bravo! My dad was a duck hunter. Nothing better than wild game.
