Very happy to hear all came out well. Stay on top of those appointments for the sake of your loved ones! I lost my uncle to a heart attack a year ago, and it was completely preventable. My father told me he had missed multiple appointments to get the stents because "he didn't want to put anyone out". I told my uncle don't be silly, I would happily take off some time to get him to the hospital and back home - no sweat. He acquiesced and made yet another appointment, but never made it. I miss him every day.

update

Still recovering well, only set back is instead of not being able to drive for 10 days
that's been changed to no driving for a full month, so still 2 weeks to go for that. Small price to pay, I guess.

Had most of my street rod pals come around on coffee runs helping to cheer me up.

So all's good. Now we're into winter driving so might not get out for quite awhile.

Hoping you all have a great year in '16, YP

No Snow Shoveling for You. :)

Do whatever the doctor tells you, and stick around.

An update

Due to a failed stress test, had to go get another stent last week, just got back.

I heard lots of "bypass surgery/open heart (chest) surgery" coming from the docs, so I wasn't looking forward to this dye test, so when I heard the surgeon say "stent" I almost yahooed.

So, except for an unusual post stent chest pain, all went fine. My chest is still sore but have been assured my ticker is okay, and hopefully stays that way.

Maybe this time I'll drink a little less coffee, eat less junk food, and of course no Canadian bacon. But.... the best laid plans of mice and men ....

So just like last time, still on the right side of the sod, still got the Porsche and
for some strange reason my wife still loves me!

Thanks for looking in.

Glad to hear the "no surgery" news. Take care.

My FIL goes in next Thursday for bypass surgery. The preliminary tests show 4 to 5 blockages.

TIL the inventor of the heart stent approached numerous companies for funding and was rejected. It was funded by the owner of Fuddrucker's restaurant, whom he met by chance on a golf course.

Here's how the Doctor explained the post stent chest pain, "Well your Dec '15 stent is pumping fine, and today we stented a 85% blockage at a "Y" so we may be blocking part of the "Y" but it's only a very small (1 Mil) vein so it shouldn't be too much of a loss even if it does get blocked" So of course I told my wife I think that's the one goes to the playground. She nodded her head yes, with a smile. (PS I noticed in review I used that joke last time, but I've only got a few jokes about stents so had to re-use it.)
