Further update to my friends Rod build-up
Gone from "some assembly required" to almost "turn key" wont be long now. Still fiddling with body, it's got to drop a few inches.
That Hemi should sound pretty good!http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1450882146.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1450882203.jpg |
Digging the old school Cragar SS/T wheels.
|
Wow! That's a motor! It just needs a 6-71 and it'll look like it came right out of Don Prudhommes funny car!
Keep the pictures coming |
Nice little Cheby!

Keep the cool hot-rod stuff coming!!
|
Pretty darn cool.
Doesn't look like he'll be able to keep tires on it. Those backs don't look up to taming that motor. Seeing the old girl naked at the beginning is pretty cool. I'd never seen one in that shape. It would have been cool if he could have managed with the old wire wheels or something that looked similar. I love the one behind the yellow truck. Very cool. |
Alright our Hot Rod buddy, Y P is on restricted duty. Not much to do but hang here with us an post pics of all the cool machinery there in the far north.
Ya Hoo, lucky us. Keep them coming Bro. Loving it. Cheers Richard |

I think that Monster motor will easily overtake the narrow tires on the back.....should be fun.

it's going to be tubbed actually. Just I little I think. When I get my driving privileges back I'll make a visit to his shop for more updates. Here's a few more of my pals home builds, which I've probably posted before, but some are worth a looksee. I took the pic of the yellow No. 13 but don't actually know the guy. Nice rod though. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1450901263.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1450901374.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1450901450.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1450901523.jpg |

Especially the blue Ford pick-up. |
Who doesn't like a hot-rodded Anglia?
That blown '40 reminds me of one I saw in the Rodder's Journal. |
The '30 chevy coming along nicely, still lots to do but getting there. Steering and brakes ( 4 wheel discs) mostly figured out. Lots to do yet. Not my doing BTW, belongs to a good friend who runs and owns this great HR shop.
Still a long way to go, but this summer should be on the road. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1455631445.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1455631485.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1455631507.jpghttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1455631593.jpg |
