Further update to my friends Rod build-up

Gone from "some assembly required" to almost "turn key" wont be long now. Still fiddling with body, it's got to drop a few inches.

That Hemi should sound pretty good!

Wow! That's a motor! It just needs a 6-71 and it'll look like it came right out of Don Prudhommes funny car!

Keep the pictures coming

Yeah, all his rods 29 (mine) 30 (the Hemi) and his 31(blue Truck) are all Chebies. Well except his International and the flat black truck is another friend (builder).

Pretty darn cool.

Doesn't look like he'll be able to keep tires on it. Those backs don't look up to taming that motor.

Seeing the old girl naked at the beginning is pretty cool. I'd never seen one in that shape.

It would have been cool if he could have managed with the old wire wheels or something that looked similar.

I love the one behind the yellow truck. Very cool.

Some assembly I'd say. Neat seeing how he pieced that body together with what looks like vintage metal.

He looks to be heading this direction.

I think that Monster motor will easily overtake the narrow tires on the back.....should be fun.

There'll be lots of changes before final look. These are just mock-ups, I think
it's going to be tubbed actually. Just I little I think. When I get my driving privileges back I'll make a visit to his shop for more updates.

Here's a few more of my pals home builds, which I've probably posted before, but some are worth a looksee. I took the pic of the yellow No. 13 but don't actually know the guy. Nice rod though.

I think the panels were just nailed/bolted on to the wood frame on these early Chevies, he just took 'em off. The old Rat behind the yellow truck is my '29 touring machine.

This very nice Anglia arrived here from Ontario and I like it a lot.

Plus a few other rides

The last 2 or 3 pics, I don't know these vehicles, but they are nice. Especially the blue Ford pick-up.

Who doesn't like a hot-rodded Anglia?

That blown '40 reminds me of one I saw in the Rodder's Journal.

The '30 chevy coming along nicely, still lots to do but getting there. Steering and brakes ( 4 wheel discs) mostly figured out. Lots to do yet. Not my doing BTW, belongs to a good friend who runs and owns this great HR shop.

Still a long way to go, but this summer should be on the road.

More updates

Inching towards completion. Rear fenders on, new gas tank installed, rad shell, and now
new roof skin (thanks to a Dodge caliber).

Still lots to do.
