2016 Rolex 24 Porsche Corral
Who is going? I made the decision to go over the weekend and now realize tickets with garage access seem to be plentiful but infield parking is unobtainium. It has been 15 years since I last attended and the days of buying a ticket and simply driving through the tunnel, finding a parking spot close to the garages are over! I am a buyer if anyone knows of available PCA Corral parking and tickets. Thank you and hope to see some Pelican members at the race!

I'm not sure when it changed. Infield tickets galore, infield parking: good luck. The place is hugh, but the NASCAR folks have decided to make it worlds smallest parking lot, for the people who love racing. I thought about going for years, but if I can't stay overnight in the infield, then screw it.

Actually you can stay overnight in the infield. The problem is - don't leave once you get in (Thursday afternoon) or you won't get back in. There is an official tent camping area, and RV camping areas. But I have seen many people just put up a tent in a spot that won't get driven over. I had been going regularly since the 70's. It is more like a circus than a race now a days, ferris wheel and all.

So you're saying that once you set up in the infield, say thursday, you can't leave the track and go to the beach, etc?

Thanks for the input....looks like the only option this late in the game is a 4 day pass with garage access and a parking pass for outside the track with a shuttle to the infield. Not a bad option but not like driving through the tunnel in your 911. Next year I will have to be quicker on my feet and buy a PCA Corral package or an infield parking pass from Daytona. I am still a buyer if someone has a spare infield parking pass!

Swiftmotoring, since the change, the p-car corral has been collecting corral passes from those who won't return Sun and giving them to those "in need". Just a thought.

You can leave, but there will be no room to get back in.

What does that mean? If I drive out the track, I can't get back in even if I have a 4 day pass? This is crazy ****. Now what. All I'm thinking of is a small space to pop a tent and have a few ice tea's.

You won't be able to pop a tent without paying, they have been getting pretty strict with people putting up tents in general parking areas.

Thanks again. Is the P-Car Corral open to only those that have tickets? Always nice to have a back up plan in the event of rain.

Porsche corral is open to all, but you can only park there if you have the corral pass, and must be a p-car

I'll be there. Does anyone know if spectators can rent a golf cart? I know we used to rent them for SVRA and HSR events a few years back.

I was there on Saturday for the Roar Before the 24. They were unloading carts and there were a least 100 sitting there already.
