My FIL arrested him in Rochester NY in '76. It's not for the reason the reports would have you believe.

RIP, Mr. David Bowie.
Mick Ronson cannot go unmentioned as a co-collaborator in establishing Bowie's legacy. His guitar work made so many songs iconic. Bless them both. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/s2L4hL2IvUk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

I think that is understood. Frankly, I don't think anything would surprise me given the time window. |
I think I'm going to watch Labyrinth with my kids tonight.

First time I ever heard Ziggy involved a gorgeous woman and some sugar cubes. Good times.. |
It is mine Peter, I listen to it once a month at least. 1:15 on is just magic.

This was taken 3 days before his passing. He had to know his time was short.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1452562752.jpg From The Concert for New York City. A great performance at a very emotional time. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.liveleak.com/ll_embed?f=8ee0bf358c07" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

RIP David Bowie |
A Millennial at work today said "Who's David Bowie"
How sad. Even worse, a few months ago I talked with a guy who didn't know who Jimmy Hendricks was! That is blasphemy. Every person should be trained on the classics Bach Beethoven Hendricks p.s. I knew Targa would be putting in the quintessential "Everyone move up one space". True enough. |
I will miss him

"I think perhaps Mr. Newton has had enough, don't you?"

If I remember correctly, about a year ago one of our guys - it may have been speeder (Denis) spent an evening chatting with him at a party. He described David Bowie as being a English Gentleman.
|
Here today, gone tomorrow, one of my favorite Bowie songs, I'd put it up if I knew how, fitting for this sad day, I'm bummed at his passing
RIP David, see ya on the other side |

If this doesn't bring tears to your eyes. Apparently Bowie gave the rendition his seal of approval, calling it "the most poignant version of the song ever created." Blew me away given Bowie's passing |
Name a musician.
Recently died. Died at or around 70 years old, within days of his birthday. Died suddenly of super aggressive cancer Wrote, sang and toured for many decades Defined an entire genre of music forever, had dozens of bands copy/mimic/follow them Was an Englishman who made America their second homeland and lived there until death. Performed solo, with an established band, and with many collaborators across genres. Produced an album right before their death, worked literally to the last day. It's almost creepy. A year ago you wouldn't put those two names together in any list, but they were doppelgangers. |
Then there's Blackstar, which I will also need help in understanding...
