Yep, when it came out (8 years ago?) I drug a lady friend to it... she expected not to like it... afterward she said I had great taste in movies. :D
FWIW it is on our Netfix que but I think my wife is avoiding it.

Great Movie. Paraphrase, "what's the cork for? Gas cap"

Great film.

When it came out, some idiot (here on Pelican) was really upset that they didn't have some 20-something play Munro... or at least Brad Pitt. Didnt' want to see an 'old man' starring.

The whole point of the movie was the accomplishment at his age.

Anthony Hopkins could out-act Brad Pitt even if he was in a coma.

The Final Countdown. Can't end that way, but........It HAS to end that way! Lots to think about.

Reminds me of a favourite of mine "Meet Joe Black".....I highly recommend it if you're a fan of Sir Anthony Hopkins and as far as Brad Pitt is concerned - I hold him in very high regard for the many and varied movie characters he has played in a way no one else could.

BTW - the soundtrack to "Meet Joe Black" is also very very good.

Cant really stand Brad Pitt, butt gotta say I liked that movie. It was over 3 hours long and didn't even notice.

Meet Joe Black was an excellent film! 12 Monkeys was also exceptional. Only Brad Pitt could have pulled that one off.

Hopkins was reportedly seen meeting with George Miller which asks the question.. Could he be somehow involved with the next Mad Max? And at what capacity?

Same here. Amazing movie if you have the time to watch the entire movie - it is a bit lengthy!

I remember firing up the Worlds fastest Indian on a long flight and Thuy griping about me picking a car movie. By halfway through she was really into, thought she was going to cry a couple of times! Great movie!!!
