I am always amazed these things don't derail- I guess the blade is designed to put downward force on the tracks but impressive-high definition train/snow videos are the best. Second train snaps a tree like a matchstick!

The current models have some improvements primarily in the way of electric chute, auger height adjustments, power maneuverability and an LED light. A fella could see that as more to go wrong or have faith that Honda engineered and manufactured the changes well. There was a wall outlet electric start option offered for mine but honestly even the 13HP version is easy to pull start (but mine sits in a 50F degree garage). I suspect the new ones have a battery with all the electric adjustments and retain electric start of some sort as an option. I will say that turning and managing a tracked blower can be a bit of a workout but that is off-set by the way it brutalizes the white stuff. It's easy to be distracted by the work the thing is doing and makes me appreciate the power contained in $2 of gasoline.

Lastly, In the event a 1332 leaves one underwhelmed (we won't talk about marriage, the two binder receipt system and pricing), there is 1336 that is a tracked hybrid that may have you appreciating how well your Troy Built has served you even more!!

I have never had to use he electric start on either 13 Hp JD I've had. Usually always starts on first pull. Some years it has been used every day for 2 to 3 weeks at a time. Sitting idle right now though!

G'day Mate

That is a toy. This is a shovel!

(few years ago, you could buy these from military surplus for 4000$...it has a Scania straight eight diesel just for auger drive + two set of steering wheels, one forward and one backwards).

So I take it that you own that, cool!

Can we have some more pic's of the blower and engines?
Who is it made by? You say Scanda engine, is the who rig made by Scanda?
Two steering wheels can we get some interior shots?
How much fuel does it use?

If that's your driveway I imagine you do need a rig that big....

Unfortuntaley, I do not own one I would very much like to have one though, but it's a slight overkill for our suburban driveway (I could keep half of my driveway clean by just having it parked there) I do have a 4hp snow blower though.

The blower in video is from 1954 and is basically a 4WD Volvo Viking lorry with 8-cylinder Scania driving the auger on the other side. It was used to keep military airports clean (when we actually had a military worth its name). It has one forward driver and two bacwards steering wheels.

Minneapolis, where I grew up, does not use any auger-type of machinery. Just big plows and scoops plus dump trucks to haul it somewhere else.

The truck and road grader machine in this photo are common. Pretty sure the grader is what Pete is driving in the photo a page back.

That's our town's 672 John Deere grader. Haven't had enough snow this year to need it yet.
