Fuel Air Mixture Question
![]() Look, everyone needs something to be OCD about. Is the mixture for my range burner correct?. Too much yellow?

Had that exact same problem in my RV, take out the burners and clean out the burned schmutz. BTW, buy Barkeepers Friend and clean that pot.

If still yellow after good cleaning open up the air mixer some until flames are mostly blue.

We had that problem. Tired out we were on propane and the cooktop was set up for natural gas.

Yes, I've seen a boiler catch floor on fire due to gas mismatch. Water from burst pipes as it fell through flooring put fire out.

Are you on propane or natural gas? Doesn't really matter the fuel type, but do you have another appliance (water heater?) with an open flame that you can inspect?
If you are seeing poor flame in other appliance your regulator at the meter or from the propane tank may need to be replaced. If the problem is isolated to the range and you have cleaned the burner, the fuel orifice for that appliance may be suspect. If you are on a natural gas system, has the utility performed work in the area? Are your neighbors seeing the same? Sometimes the gas quality for a system may change and the Wobbe index shift (change in the Btu outside expected range) may cause poor flame. |

Odd, the flame isn't consistent. Sometimes it is blue, other days it is yellow.
