Some People Need Killing

It's an emotional morning at the office. My daughter-in-law is active in the Miami Valley Pit Crew pit bull rescue. She works for me, and I let her bring dogs in to work when they can't stay at home for some reason. Last night she got Hayden, a one year old girl who had been starved and soaked in lighter fluid and set on fire. She has had part of an ear, part of her lip, and some of her nipples burned off. She may be blind in one eye.

It's crazy here. People come by the office with tears, later they come by happy that Hayden is doing so well, then they're angry and want to kill the SOB that did this. We are so happy she is alive and doing remarkably well, sad that she was put through this, but my God, how can a human being do that to a dog?

Here she is in my office this morning. She already looks a lot better than she did yesterday. She's a bit shy of men, so I keep my distance, but we'll be buds soon enough. We just want her to be calm, free of pain, and put some weight on.

When I die I want to go where dogs go when they die.

Man that sux...you'll be buddies soon enough Patrick.

Similar thing occurred here a couple of years ago and the pooch became a local news celebrity. Just this morning on the local news they had a 6 month old puppy that had been shot 17 times with a BB/pellet gun by a couple of teens, 17 and 14. I'm not sure how I'd react if I encountered someone doing that were I to witness it, but there's a damn good chance I'd go to prison...

Wtf is wrong with some people?

I'm not a fan of pit bulls at all but that's just horrible - no creature deserves to suffer like that.

sc_rufctr 02-25-2016 07:09 AM

Some jerk was bored and decided to torture this dog. Completely pointless like so many people out there.
It seems the only thing that really matters is money.

When I was younger things like this would upset me but now I'm almost numb. Humane depravity never surprises me anymore.

Let's hope she makes a full recovery.

^^^^Exactly what I was going to say. I think Pit Bulls get a bad rap because of the mentally unbalenced owners who abuse them. The guy who did that to her should be given the same treatment as a thank you.

I read a clip not long ago about some people who were taking videos of crushing animals (mostly dogs & cats), cutting off of limbs, & other horrible things. Just as sick are the people who make up the demand pool to watch these kinds of things. People like this really do not need to be on this Earth.

IIRC, I was flamed for hatin' so bad on Michael Vick.
I believe the excuse was that it was a "cultural thing".

Lots of folks rushed to forgive him, they said he did his time so now lets' give him back his $15 million year job. Not me.
F him and the horse he rode in on.

Feds: Vick Personally Killed 7 Dogs By Hanging, Drowning

ATLANTA
On the eve of a critical court appearance, new information has surfaced about Michael Vick. Federal investigators, responding to a Freedom of Information Act request by WSB-TV's Scott MacFarlane, have revealed Vick personally killed at least seven of his fighting dogs by hanging or drowning. They also revealed Vick failed police polygraph tests in which he denied killing animals. And the federal paperwork said Vick decided to start his dogfighting ring just days after being drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in 2001.

SLIDESHOW: Exclusive Look Inside Vick's Dogfighting House

This information could influence the punishment Vick receives tomorrow, when he enters a guilty plea to state dog killing charges in Sussex, Va. Vick was thought to have secured leniency by offering to a guilty plea but the new information puts his future in doubt yet again.

Michael Vick is back in Virginia to face state dogfighting charges in a court appearance this week.

Hopewell Regional Jail Superintendent Darnley Hodge said the former NFL star is being held in protective custody. Hodge said Vick is isolated from the rest of the jail's 1,200 inmates to avoid disruptions but is being treated like any other prisoner.

Hodge said Vick arrived Thursday from the federal penitentiary in Leavenworth, Kansas, where he's serving a 23-month sentence for a federal dogfighting conspiracy

Those 2 people were sentenced to decades in federal jail, it's almost like not being on this Earth...

We're making progress. We keep a bowl of treats outside the office and every time someone comes by they give her a little snack and talk to her. She's learning that people mean snacks, not pain. She has a rafter-rattling bark that she's getting over. She doesn't do her warning bark at everyone all the time - only if she is approached quickly. I think she's going to be OK.

Good news :)

Human being is not how I would characterize the monster that did that. Her coloring is a lot like my dog, he is a sweetheart. Criminally neglected, but not abused, vet said he would have died from the intestinal parasites if he had stayed there another few weeks. He still gets pretty skittish if he sees more than two people in one place, but getting better. Very gentle, despite being a bit of a bruiser. When we got him, my brother said of the people that had him, "You should be able to give people that would abuse an animal or a child a virus that would make them die." He then asked, "Where do they live?" I did not tell him.

i hope the rest of that dog's life is outstanding and full of love.

my brother adoped two great danes that were sexually abused by some DB. i never could pet one of them, she never got over it and was afraid of men. the second one, the DB named "Porsche", and she was an amazing animal. full of love.

i rescued a chihuahua several years back, in a package deal with another little guy. at the time, i had never been a small dog lover, but i love this little guy now. he's 18 years old now (15 when i got him)....the previous owner burned him, as well. he still has the scars on his back. he's also toothless and has no lower jaw. he's missing one of his toes. the sweetest dog you will ever meet. even after all he's been through, he still is 100% loving to others. i wish i could find the guy who did that to him.....

here he is during his latest bath, haha:

If I ever saw someone doing that to a dog....that person would never be able to do it again. I would make sure of that.

There is no excuse for animal abuse and cruelty. Zero tolerance.

Thank you Patrick and DIL for helping sweet little Hayden.

We had a rescue dog that her mouth had been wired shut by putting a rubber band or something around her upper and lower jaws. I guess to keep her from barking, they apparently took it off to feed her. It was readily apparent that the person who did this was a man, not a women. She was scared to death of ANY men. We ended up giving him to a nice single lady. She could never adjust to men. Sick motherfuchers.

Anyone that abuses animals, kids or women better not come around me while I'm holding a 2x4....
Google "bart the miracle cat" in Florida. Poor cat got hit by a car, buried alive and left for dead. Humane Society rescued him and now the original owners are suing to get him back. No doubt to cash in on internet cat star...they should die twice...

A special place in hell for people like that.
