Anyone looking for a clean 5.0 Fox Body Mustang?

Before I put the '92 on Craigslist, I figured I would throw it out here. I know there aren't a lot of Mustang folks in these parts, but what the heck. The good: Strong engine and transmission Just passed Colorado Emissions last week Straight body with no rust Interior is clean, shows it age but not thrashed by any means Everything is there The bad: Paint was redone and its a cheap respray that is wearing through is some spots (I liked the way it looked so I didn't want to do anything with the paint) Few small dents and dings A/C is all there, but does not work I am open to any questions, but this has been my DD for a couple years when it isn't snowing and other than needing to replace the coil, hasn't let me down. Must.....resist....... I see the 5.0 as a cheap investment worthy car, similar to my RX-7. It was one of "the" cars when I was a teen. Unmolested cars are very hard to find, and I believe they made fewer of the notchback than the GT in a 5.0. Plus the notchback looks so much better.

Obviously, I live in Ohio, and won't be flying out to drive it back. I am looking at a 2004 Mustang GT convertible (unmoletsed) for a project car, but only 100 miles away, not 2000.

We're on the same page. I've been planning to pick up a new edge GT or Mach 1 at some point.

Sorry everyone, work has gotten in the way of Pelican today.... A bit more detail below: -It is a five speed manual -I replaced the radiator and overflow bottle last fall and put in a 180 degree thermostat -New BBK high flow fuel pump and fuel level sending unit (original still worked but figured while I was in there, the tank now shows a 1/4 when its close to empty, damn aftermarket parts). -Brake pads and rotors up front a few years ago, didn't use Ford parts and there is a little bit of a shimmy at high speed when braking. -New front seat belts and various trim pieces inside and out -New poly motor and transmission mounts As for aftermarket parts it does not have a lot, it is pretty stock which is one of the reason's I like it: -Intake, this one (previous owner put it on) and throttle body Professional Products Polished Typhoon Mustang Intake Manifold 54020 (86-95 5.0L) - Free Shipping -Steeda Tri-Ax shifter (I had this one my SN-95 5.0 and I liked it, so it was my friends son's graduation present from me, before I bought the car from him) -Flowmaster cat back system that is fairly quiet (enjoyable on the interstate, where I drive it a lot) -Kenwood deck and some speakers, ipod ready and works fine That's pretty much all I can think of, I have some other parts as well that I just have not gotten around to putting on. Overall its a good example of a pretty much unmolested 5.0 which are to find, which is made sweeter by there not being any rust. The odometer has turned over once and as such is titled past mechanical limit, but based on the condition it has about 130,000 miles on it (I can double check). I have a clear title etc., and pricing is all over the board on these things from complete wrecks to folks that seem to be shooting for the sky. I would like $5,000 but if its going to a good home, I am more than willing to deal. Also, I can take any pictures this weekend anyone wants. I drive it 120 miles daily on the highway without hesitation. Bill

| G'day! |
I was hoping it had a line-lock on her! Seriously though - nice looking car, Bill....and I wish I had her but already have too many and am short on space. I hope someone here can take her and give her a great home!

I agree Matt of these going up in value, the question I have struggled with is now that I have the 996TT and plan to DD it in the warmer weather, does it appreciate in line with storage fee's, which I do not think it will. This is a hatch, same as the GT body style. The racers like the notch because it is lighter, but from a practicality standpoint, I always like the hatch. With the seats folded down it holds a surprising amount. Thanks Baz.
