Exactly the two my wife and I identified.

Even a nod for Giamtti would have at least been an acknowledgement to the production as a whole.

FWIW, I think Paul had a good performance.

Dre's mom, as little screen time as she got worked every minute of it.

Certainly not enough screen time to qualify for a supporting nod but what little time she did have was great.

As someone who has actually been on the boards with some of them, I can tell you that there are so many good/great black actors out there it's not even funny. It's like saying, "are there any good black singers?" :)
