While you're doing the timing belt, you may as well do the water pump and all the tensioner pulleys too. I hope your alternator is OK - that one is real pain to get out.
I miss my 92 C4 100 - There was plenty of room to work on the front of that motor. The two newer Avants I've had are not as friendly... |

My brother's All-Road was donated to the local high school career center. I envision these kids walking around its complexity, staring in amazement. Sort of like donating the corpse of the Elephant Man to the local medical school. i.e., if you can figure this one out, you can work on anything ....

I saw an AllRoad running around yesterday. It wasn't dripping oil, or shedding parts, and the owners still had a full head of hair and nice clothes. Car looked like it just rolled out of the show room....

My post is tongue-in-cheek because I don't really know what the circumstances of the donation were. My brother drove it for a couple of years trouble-free. The guy he sold it to donated it. So it could have been for tax reasons as easily as a mechanical problem.
