Rugby in its various forms is international, teams of 7, 13 or 15 and is quite structured, more like American football (which evolved from Rugby) and played on a square pitch. Australian Rules is played only (really) in Australia, on a larger oval, teams of 18 and is a more free flowing running game like basketball.

Thank you.

WIKI says all these games sort of solidified as to structure/rules just past 1850 (+30 years). English Rugby form was being defined 20-30 years earlier from 1850.

Everyday Americans just don't know......

I do remember drunk in a London pub a guy was explaining silly on and silly off to me. Cricket. How close?

Legalized mayhem with rules......it rocks, wankers wear pads. Says a football referee.

A rugby ref says, the guy is dead, dona hit him anymore....

Umm, around here sport is not sport as we know it, it's rugby (ruby, rugby, f**** rugby) I was pretty pissed off about TV coverage of the Olympics. The worlds finest athletes competing and we had to listen to some prick droning on about rugby then a quick five minutes about the Olympics.
