I don't know what the big deal is when it comes time to sell. Maybe some of you guys should just not sell it? Who really cares what the new buyer will do with it. Its no longer your car? This family did this to me once when I bought their mother's home. They demand that I do nothing to the house but live in it and that they wanted to meet my family. I put on my lipstick and gave them what they wanted. I ended up polishing that piece of turd into a shiny gem stone.

You want to sell the car with a certain price point, flipper or not, if he pays you your asking price, why does it matter to you? Maybe the person who buys it from the flipper takes care of the car way better then you ever did? Would that make it ok then?

When I sold the family farm I talked to the guy about what a great subdividble piece of land it is all he went on and on about raising cattle. A month later he had signs up and the land all plotted out. Hell, I was selling it to the highest money...

If he had, I wouldn't be typing this.

In my case, it won't be sold while I'm alive and Marc who sold me the car would have first dib.

I like Peter Egan, and I used to read all his stories. But I remember the time he bought the Vincent Black Shadow from another enthusiast as his dream bike.

He wound up selling it a year later. I felt he had suckered the guy, and he has done this a few times since. You really can't control what happens to something after you sell it, and it doesn't matter how nice the buyer is or seems.

A guy I know knew I wanted his 911, but I guess I'm not his type of guy. He sold it to a ''real'' friend, who wound up stealing the motor out of it. Now it's been around the block a few times, and is being sold as a roller. I would have cherished that car.

I'm heading out today to pick up a 2004 Black/black Mustang GT convertible that the guy will trade (almost even up) for my nice 95 Saturn SL2. I don't think he has the right to ask me my intentions for the car. I might end up flipping it for double the money, OR, I might keep it/modify it/race it, OR, I might have it as a nice daily driver.

As long as the cash is not conterfeit, I (and he) shouldn't care what the other person does with the car. Niether of these cars are family heirlooms either.

Seller of our first house was an only child, and selling his parents' house. He held onto it for 2-3 years before even listing, and had turned down multiple offers at asking price because he couldn't let go. He paid to have the house maintained exactly as his parents did, down to having a maid regularly change the sheets. He still had frozen loaves of bread in the freezer that his mom had cooked. Crazy as hell stuff. He asked us multiple times what we intended to do with the house, we told him that it was perfect as is and we wouldn't change a thing. A few years after the purchase, he showed up asking to look around inside. I told him it was a bad time and kept the door mostly shut........so he couldn't see the wall behind me that I had removed.:cool:

Its not so much intentions at this point in the 911 market. Its the kooks that you have to filter through.
