Former First Lady Nancy Reagan Dead at 94

LINK

Nancy Reagan, one of the most high-profile and influential first ladies of the 20th century, has died, according to a spokeswoman with the Reagan Library. She was 94.

The cause of death was congestive heart failure, according to her rep Joanne Drake. "Mrs. Reagan will be buried at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California, next to her husband, Ronald Wilson Reagan, who died on June 5, 2004," Drake wrote in a statement.

RIP to a great lady and an American patriot...

I just read Killing Reagan the other day. I admire the loyalty she had towards Ronnie. They had a great marriage. I think she wielded a bit too much power in the White House and, of course, the constant astrologer consultations were bizarre. She had a great life.

Just been watching the TV coverage. Apparently, she was quite sharp and would advise RR on many issues. He was stubborn and she could get into him with her insights and wisdom.
Some would ask her to contact RR for them...she'd say, "Why don't you?"
Reply, "You have a way with him. He listens to you."
.
Another - She was astute. TV reporter said that she could spot a ne'er-do-well in a 100 member gathering.
.
Congestive heart failure - had a bout myself several months back.
Terrifying when you can't breath. Always thinking, "Is this 'IT'"?
.
RIP, Classy First Lady

From the outside looking in, she was regarded as a very good person.

Thanks for your post and insightful comments, Don. She deserves a lot of credit for her support of Ronnie.
