RIP, Mr Shandling.

Just watched the entire episode. Classy.

I think Shandling knew for some reason, his days were short.

Always loved this bit:

Senator Stern: Listen, I gotta fly home tonight, cause uh…I got some constituency problem, and I gotta press the flesh.
Jasper Sitwell: Any constituent in particular, Mr. Senator?
Senator Stern: Uh…no, not really. Twenty-three, kind of hot. Real hot. You know, wants to be a reporter, I think. I don’t know, who listens at that point?
Jasper Sitwell: Doesn’t sound much of a problem to me.
Senator Stern: Really? Cause she’s killing my back. Look, this isn’t the place to talk about it.

Oh crap!
I really enjoyed his show.
Pretty young by today's standards...

Sudden heart attack. If you get to choose, that's the best way to go.

Gotta agree. No slow decline. No having your family watch your slow decline. No outrageous medical bills as doctors try to further slow your slow decline. No memories of the shell of a human lingering for a few years before the inevitable. Alive, well, and at the top of your game and......gone.

He did not look well in that Comedians in Cars thing. Nice that they got a chance to get together like that though. That guy was so freakin' funny

Yes, I agree. Glad Jerry got to visit with him and if I had the choice of riding shotgun in a 930 with Jerry or in the back seat of a Lincoln with 2 dogs and Matthew Mcconaughey behind the wheel I'd take the 930 any day.

How'd he put it?: "At my funeral I want a boxing referee to do a ten count and stop at 5 and say he aint getting up!"

I didn't think he looked all that well either...

Perhaps Jerry taking him to those old haunts was sort of a "look back" (maybe Jerry knew something about his health). He might have had CHF or something.
