I get emails from Waddington's when they have Inuit art auctions. Took a peek at the new one and really liked this bear. $15-20K is way beyond my budget, but really liked this piece:

I get a Cape Dorset calendar every year and hang it in my kitchen. I love the main image from a 2022 calendar. Only 50 fine art prints were made in 2001, so I'll probably use the image from the calendar (or have it blown up) and frame it.

What is the stone used?

Steve Carlton 01-20-2022 10:06 AM

I think all my pieces are soapstone or serpentine (which I like better). There's several.
