Need a cool new hobby?

Holy micro lathe Batman.....

Don't go to the hardware store, I can make that..... not only that, but I can make the tool I need to make that!

It is however a slippery slope, but if you need to replace that tiny little screw, carburetor part, etc this is for you.

How to do it (no affiliation) just a devoted follower:

Have fun

Sorry, Can't upload photos, WAYNE.......

My poor old Unimat is about worn out. I have swapped the ways end to end and replaced the tool carriage casting. The motor bearing went out long time ago so I retrofitted a new motor. Can't get parts any more. I only use it as a lathe now as I have a dedicated milling machine.

Wish my pictures would upload-

Watch making/repair is a dying art, these tools are relatively cheap on Ebay. Unitmat is Ok but what is best is Lorche, Boley, Marshall, Peerless, Dorbyshire, etc. 8mm lathes are apparently preferred.

Go to ticktock productions for excellent instructions on how to evaluate, maintain, and use these wonderful tools.

Something to do with Pelican's servers. Images aren't showing up in BeyGon's abstract thread, either.

Evidently the definition of 'cool' has changed over the years.
