100% of the time if you get your hands on one of those machines you will find an energy source is hidden away producing the "magic" of the motion.
The day anyone can make a real perpetual motion machine the laws of physics as we know them will have to be changed. They don't call them laws of thermodynamics just to sound cool. The laws of gravity apply 100% of the time to everyone believe it on not.

Years ago I saw a show about a compilation of metals made into a disk. When cooled to zero kelvin it both attracted and replused like a magnet, two disks would stay 2" appart and if you spun one it would rotate forever. If done in a vacuum it would be perpetual. They talked about the possibility of connecting a generator (like a bike light) to it, but the friction would slow it down, but the idea was cool. If tempurature rose just a little, the suspended disk would lose its' attraction and repulsion properties and it would fall.
Coolest thing I've ever seen Like this: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Ws6AAhTw7RA
