Searching for Contributors for a 2nd Edition ...
I’ve been asked to write a second addition to one of my books – The Dictionary of Industrial Terms published by J Wiley / Scrivener Press .
http://www.amazon.com/Dictionary-Industrial-Terms-Michael-Holloway/dp/111834457X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1460260827&sr=8-1&keywords=dictionary+of+industrial+terms The first edition was published in 2012 with over twelve thousand terms. I would like to make this one even more encompassing. When I first took on the project, I co-wrote it with a friend. We researched many common and not so common terms used in industry as well as reaching out to many colleagues and associates to help contribute. We asked for a term, the definition and a reference. We fact checked it and after vetting it became an entry (or not). A bit painstaking yet worthwhile. So now I am asking for help again and throwing my net into a wider and potentially more rewarding sea. The areas are pretty broad but can be broken down into 5 industrial orders. I’m looking for terms used in these orders of industry. 1st Order - Extraction; materials that are harvested or taken from the land, ocean or air and made into a product e.g. Mining, Drilling, Agriculture, Fishing, Hunting, Forestry, Solar, Wind, Thermal, etc.… 2nd Order - Manufacturing; taking a raw material and changing it in order to be useful e.g. Refining, Assembly, Processing, Energy, etc.… 3rd Order - Service; any task that requires work by the individual e.g. Labor, Distribution, Engineering, Instructional, Educational, Maintenance, Sales, Legal, Telecom, Medical, Accounting, Transportation, Entertainment, etc.… 4th Order - Leadership; provides direction for the service, manufacturing or extraction industries e.g. Clergy, Government, Management, etc... 5th Order - Intellectual; Research, Marketing, Writing, Media, Consulting, etc.… I know some of you have very specific jobs and experience levels. Even if it’s just one term that’s OK. Don’t worry if the term is universal or slang. Slang terms are fine but please look to provide reference to it. I wish my budget allowed for compensation per term but unfortunately I don’t have a budget. If you contribute over 50 terms I will site you as a contributor (now that’s gotta look good on a resume). If you provide over a thousand terms and they are ones I don’t already have I’ll send you a free copy of the dictionary hot off the press! If you are interested in helping please PM me for the email address where you can send the term(s). As always, thanks for your help!

Will the new edition include a Buzzword Bingo card as part of the dust jacket?

All I've got is slang used by morons around construction sites. Too much of that and the library of congress will move it to the fiction section.
