Lane splitting on highway...this time it's an Ahole in an Infinity!
Just effen UNREAL!
WATCH: Dangerous driver caught on dashcam along Alberta’s QEII Highway | Globalnews.ca This idiot deserves to be.......(fill in the blanks!).......! |
Who's the ***hole? The guy splitting lanes? Or the guy sitting in the left lane right next to the guy in the right lane?

Everything you see on the internet is missing context, before, after, why.... people grow indignant... The latest cam-event, the fist fight/gun/motorcycle vs old bimmer altercation in FL is featured on several sites from different camera clips... People are coming to different conclusions, equally righteously !!! it's funny! I wouldn't risk the above, and it's stupid/dangerous, etc...it's also possible the other 2 were circling the wagons for 4 hours preventing anyone from passing, ever... I don't judge anymore... Nicely executed pass in a small gap, damn ;-) Someone's gonna lose a license ! |

On a more humerous note, it was a BMW club drive! Note that both the blue one AND the dashcam car which I believe is also another bimmer on said drive....BOTH are in the LEFT LANE! |
Meh. You Canadians. That's called L.A. combat tactics on the freeways of So Cali.

I think the phrase "gone viral" has jumped the shark, to mix some metaphors (After all, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make a silk purse out of a pig in a poke).
|
Why can't people learn how to stay out of the left lane? They just give anybody a drivers license these days.
|
Usually the azzholez in the left lane are cops who believe it's their automatic right to camp there and blast along at 90+ mph with no emergency lights going and not necessarily on a call - just because they can. Rules are for the little people / subjects, not them. They're above the law. They just make sure everyone else follows them.
Such a frikkin' double-standard. I'd love to pull one of these self-righteous dicks over and rip them a new one but I have better things to do with my time than learn every little nuance regarding citizens arrests and then watching over my shoulder for the rest of my life for every "police fraternity" member looking to nail me for spitting gum on the sidewalk or whatever for the rest of my life - it's such B.S. thuggery / state-sanctioned gangsterism but there it is. |
Plenty of room, I see no issues...
|
Left lane is for passing and emergency vehicles only. When people disregard safety basics, you're left with crazy passing.
|
Interesting conclusions jumped to here from seeing the brief clip.
The overtaking vehicle came into and thru the other cars far to fast to see if there was a slow pass unfolding. Or if there was annoyingly common lane blocking going on. Yes often, especially in heavy trafic folks do camp in the left lane when it would help the flow of trafic if better lane discipline were practiced . But to my eye the speeder escalates an annoying traffic situation into an obviously dangerous, likely crash producing, completely illegal form of Asshatery driving. Cheers Richard |
Here in jersey the State LEOs do a good job of clearing the left lane on the interstates as it is a revenue stream. Other states do not have a left lane prohibition. I'm often frustrated by this while driving thru PA but I've never threaded a needle like that!

coupla points here
1- most of us in the states know to stay well clear of Canadian plates. 2- hasn't this guy told us all we need to know about him buy purchasing an Infiniti? isn't that kinda like 'I know nissans are obnoxiously styled junk marketed to hood rats but I really want to take it up another notch' |
Anyone in Montana knows to watch out for cars with Alberta license plates. It just does not do you any good if you are actually in Alberta, and almost all the plates say "Alberta"
|
The most embarrassing part is that the highway is named after the queen of England.
|
There's an abundance of a-hole drivers everywhere.
Living in Palm Desert, we are invaded every winter by "snowbirds" from Canada. Not the feathered type! For 5 months out of the year the population more than doubles and major collisions are a daily thing. 90% of the time a Canadian motorist is involved. It's a fact they bring in millions of dollars to the desert cities economy.....but they simply don't know how to drive! We are just now seeing the exodus of 45 foot motorhomes towing their tahoes behind. Finally. Oh yeah, one more thing. Our friend that is a food server at a very high end restaurant in Palm Springs says the canadians are the worst tippers ever!! |
